Warning Important notice about using Craft Director Studio in CINEMA 4D
  1. When trying to scale the dummy objects, it's very important that you use the scale tool (Object tool) otherwise you will only scale the meshes of the objects and not the transforms, which will result in odd behavior.

  2. When interacting with other objects, such as driving on a surface, the object that you want to interact with needs to be Editable (Hotkey: C).

Craft Director Studio automatically loads in CINEMA 4D and does not need any configuration to start properly.

» Starting Craft Director Studio in CINEMA 4D

  1. Start CINEMA 4D.
  2. Through the Plugins menu, click on Craft Director Studio.

  3. Craft Director Studio window should now be open.

» Enabling keyboard support on Macintosh

Start by opening up the System Preferences:

Click on Universal Access:
Universal access


Check the Enable access for assistive devices check box:
Enable access


This will enable Craft Director Studio to read the inputs from the keyboard device during recording and you are now able to use the keyboard to control all the tools.
